Uzbekistan International Travel Workshop – The First Spring Tourism Forum in Uzbekistan, dedicated to development of business and corporate tourism, held before the summer tourist season.
 Date and Venue – 28st of April, 2009 Hotel “Intercontinental Tashkent”
 Organizers – The National Company “Uzbektourism” and the Advertising Agency “Great Silk Road”
 Participating Organizations – Travel agencies (local and foreign), hotels (local and foreign), national tourism boards.
 Participants – General managers, directors, tour operators.
Aimed – For the interaction between participants and negotiate in a businesslike atmosphere, establish new contacts, exchange of information, contracts, price adjustment policy for coming season, and advertising of new technologies in tourism sphere, as well as information on improvements of the provided services.

In total participated more than 30 companies including foreign participants. The domestic companies had a fruitful negotiation and signed a new contract with representatives of Turkish, Malaysian, Syrian, Arab tourism companies. During the meeting the relevant questions were asked by the official representative of UNWTO - Mrs. Kordula Volmuter, arrived in Uzbekistan with an official visit.
 Also it was discussed about the improvement of tourism services in the coming season, and advertised the new routes offered by foreign companies. Presentation of tourist potential of Malaysia held by Ms. Azizah Binti Aziz, a director of the Moscow Representative office of Tourism Malaysia.
Managers of the major hotels of Uzbekistan presented the new prices for the offered services, conducted a presentation of open clubs and the range of new services. For one day the participants have got the full information needed for preparing for a new season, saved time and financial resources. Summing the organizational work, the participants were presented with certificates of UZBEKISTAN INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL WORKSHOP – 2008 by the organizers.
